work with me

I offer one-on-one coaching sessions virtually and in-person at my studio in Brooklyn, NY.

How do you know if you’re in the right place?

  • You have chronic pain that keeps you from being able to do normal daily activities and/or activities you love.

  • You’ve completed and/or plateaued in physical therapy, but you don’t feel ready to go back to the activities you were doing pre-injury. Your only options seem to be surgery or just living with it.

  • You were told by a health professional that you could never do [X movement or activity] again because of your injury. You don’t buy it, but you’re not sure what to do about it.

  • You’re starting to feel like your body is aging twice as fast as you actually are—things are just starting to hurt and your movement options are decreasing.

  • You’re 70, 80, 90+ and don’t need physical therapy but would like someone to keep you agile and strong while considering your needs as an older adult for things like falls prevention and balance.

  • You keep getting hurt every time you exercise and you want someone to make sure you’re “doing it right” so you can feel safe and confident continuing on your own.

  • You’re a postpartum mama wanting to re-introduce movement and exercise to your life, but you feel like you’re navigating a whole new body and would like some guidance.

    Physical Training

I pull from a variety of modalities to adapt each session according to your needs, preferences, and goals. Our work together may encompass any combination of strength building, mobility training, floor work, balance and falls prevention, rehab exercises, games, coordination patterns, somatic movement, and breathwork. Regardless of the modality, the movements require your presence, curiosity, and awareness—I consider these components fundamental to making long term changes toward movement health.

No one understands your pain story better than you. But do you know how pain actually works in your body? Most people don’t. Learning the basic principles behind pain physiology is one of the most underrated tools to recovering from chronic pain. I weave in conversations about how pain works throughout our time together so that you have a mental manual to better manage your journey out of pain.

Still have questions?

Some people need a one off session, and many people are in between with anywhere from 4 to 12 sessions. Occasionally, a longer term relationship unfolds. We determine the right fit together based on your goals and finances, our schedules, and my honest assessment of how to get you where you want to be.
